I opened a poll asking a question about one specific part of website design, how to write phone numbers. there are a few different formats you can write them: (978) 555-1234 or 978-555-1234 or 978.555.1234. In my opinion the first method listed is the way phone numbers “used” to be written, pre-internet. I assumed one of the other two methods would win in the poll. I personally use this method 978.555.1234. I prefer this method because I think it makes the phone number easiest to read, and also I think it looks best “design wise”.
So 300 voters later I’m closing the poll. I find the results pretty interesting, it turns out my preferred method is the second most common.
